Three women have been arrested for the possession of 225 grams of heroin, estimated to be worth over Rs 2 million, near the Subodharama Temple in Peliyagoda, police said.
The women, arrested last evening in a special operation carried out by Peliyagoda Police according to information received, are residents of Stace Road in Colombo 11 and Kelaniya.
They are to be produced at the Mahawa Magistrate’s Court today (August 15).
