At least 40 persons were injured and hospitalised following a head-on collision between two buses in the Naula area on the Matale-Dambulla main road a short while ago.
A Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus and a private bus were involved in the accident, which occurred at around 4.40pm today (15), Ada Derena reporter said.
The wounded persons have been rushed to the Matale Hospital, he said.
