Special traffic plan on Colombo-Avissawella road

A Special traffic plan will be implemented for Nawagamuwa Pattini Devalaya Perahera which is due to tour the street today (16) and tomorrow, the Police Department said.
The Perahera will take place tonight at 8.00 p.m. The traditional ritual of Perahera will be concluded tomorrow after the Diya-kepeema ceremony.
Therefore, a part of the Colombo - Avissawella main road will be closed for traffic during this period, according to police.
The vehicles travelling towards Colombo from Avissawella can enter the Colombo - Avissawella main road by turning right from the Ranala junction and thereafter proceeding through Siyambalagaha to Kaduwela.
The vehicles travelling towards Avissawella can enter the main road by entering the 697 bus route and proceeding through Vanduramulla to Sumanathissa road. The traffic plan will be affected from today 7.00 p.m. to tomorrow 2.00 p.m.
