Token strike at Karapitiya hospital tomorrow

All the staff members at the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital will boycott their duties tomorrow (24), the director of the hospital Dr. Shelton Perera told Ada Derana.
He said that the decision was made following the inaction of the Galle Municipal Council (GMC) to remove and dump garbage of the hospital to a proper place. It was reported that the medical staffs and even the patient found many difficulties with the GMC’s inaction to dispose garbage of the hospital, at the proper time.
Dr. Perera said that only the accident ward will be functioning, while new admissions of patients will be not enrolled, he added.
