New twists in Negombo money exchange centre robbery

Sampath Ruwansiri alias Apple Ruwan, a key suspect of the money exchange centre robbery in Negombo took place in April, will be brought to the county from Malaysia, sources from the police said.
According to the police, Apple Ruwan has fled to Malaysia following the robbery on 17 February. The individual is said to be a main suspect in the robbery of nearly Rs. 20 million cash from the money exchange centre.
In a previous occasion, two other suspects including opposition Chief Organizer for the Western Provincial Council, Royce Fernando, were taken into police custody and remanded, following the incident.
More details in connect to the robbery came to light as the whole incident was recorded on CCTV cameras inside the shop.
