Lalitha Kaushalya alias ‘Kudu Lalitha’ was shot dead during a conflict with the Police Narcotic Bureau in Aturugiriya, a short while ago, police sources said.
The suspect was reportedly attempting to flee in a car when he was gunned down in front of the Oruwala Hospital in Athurugiriya.
The operation to apprehend the suspect was carried out by the Police Narcotic Bureau.
The body of the deceased has been placed at the Nawagamuwa Hospital.
