Two dead, 3 injured in collision at Randeniya

A woman and her 26-year-old son were killed while another 3 persons including a two-day-old infant were wounded following a collision involving a van and a three-wheeler in front of the Randeniya sub post office on the Ella-Wellawaya A23 road.
Two women and the infant, passengers of the three-wheeler, were admitted to the Sirigala Hospital with injuries, police said.
The 26-year-old youth’s wife and baby are said to be among the injured.
Police said that the victims are residents of Delumgaswatta in Udadompe, Haliela.
The driver of the van has been arrested over the fatal crash which took place last evening.
