The body of a woman who had died under suspicious circumstances has been found inside a mine in the Yaya 02 area in Embilipitiya, police said.
The body was discovered by police following a search carried out according to information received by the police emergency hotline.
The deceased woman has still not been identified while Embilipitiya Police are conducting further investigations.
