
The Appropriation Bill for the service of the financial year 2015 was presented in Parliament by the Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne a short while ago, Ada Derana reporter said.
The expected government expenditure for the year 2015 is over Rs 3049 billion, according to reports.
Meanwhile UNP MP John Amaratunga, on behalf of the opposition, questioned the government regarding the reasons for tabling the appropriation bill early compared to previous years.
In response to this, the premier stated that Parliament will be informed of the reason on a future date.
