Driver returns SR47,000 to Sri Lankan pilgrim

A function organized in Saudi to honor a bus driver that transports Haj pilgrims for his honesty after he returned SR47,000 and valuable documents of a Sri Lankan pilgrim.
The pilgrim lost his handbag while traveling in the bus. The driver who found the bag handed it to the syndicate authorities. The bag contained the pilgrim’s mobile phone, travel tickets, visa card, two bankcards, in addition to the currency.
Marwan Zubaidi, spokesman of the syndicate, said that Ahmad Sambava, president of the syndicate, presented a certificate of honor and appreciation to the driver. He also instructed the Haj service company to give him financial remuneration and a letter of appreciation with his picture prominently at the company and syndicate premises in addition to posting on the website so as to become an ideal example for other drivers.
