Traffic restriction on Marine Drive due to repairs

Traffic will be restricted due to road construction work being carried out from Wellawatta to Kollupitiya along Marine Drive, only on weekdays, with effect from Monday (Oct. 13) until further notice, Police Headquarters said.

Only motorists traveling towards Colombo will be allowed on the Marine Drive from Nelson Road Junction to Charliment Road Junction between 7.00am and 9.30am while only motorists traveling towards Dehiwala are allowed between 4.00pm and 6.30pm on the same road section.

However, vehicle movement will be limited as mentioned above only during weekdays (days excluding Saturday, Sunday and public holidays).
