Traffic jam near Thunmulla Junction due to fallen tree

Severe traffic congestion has been reported in the Thunmulla Junction area in Colombo after a tree collapsed onto the road due to prevailing inclement weather conditions.
The Police Spokesman’s Office said that the fallen tree has obstructed the traffic flow from Thunmulla towards Kirulapana.
The Police and fire brigade are currently attempting to remove the tree with assistance from other parties.
Meanwhile in a separate incident a tree has fallen on the Akuressa-Imaduwa road, obstructing traffic on the road.
Police and residents in the area are still attempting to remove the tree from the road.
