Two dead in lorry-motorcycle collision

Two persons were killed after a motorcycle collided with a lorry in the Padalangala area in Sooriyawewa, police said.
The 36-year-old motorcycle rider and the 38-year-old passenger, both residents of Sooriyawewa, had succumbed to critical injuries shortly after the accident.
The motorcycle had crashed into the rear end of the lorry which was attempting to pull over.
The driver of the lorry has been arrested over the incident and will be produced at the Hambantota Magistrate’s Court today (8), police said.
