Two persons of the same family have been murdered with an axe in the Naotunna area in Gandara, Matara.
Police said the murders were committed last night by several individuals, over an old dispute.
The suspects involved in the murders have reportedly fled the area while Gandara Police is conducting investigations to apprehend them.
