Former Minister of Public Management Reforms Navin Dissanayake said that more top ruling party members will leave the government and join to assist Common Opposition Candidate Maithripala Sirisena in near future.
Dissanayake made the observation at a press conference held at the UNP headquarters, this afternoon.
Responding to a query raised by a reporter, Dissanayake added that he urges the government to reveal the contents of his files and release it within 24-hour time, if there were any with corrupt deals.
Dissanayake resigned from his Ministerial portfolio and from all positions he held under the Government. Dissanayake was the chief organizer of the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) for Nuwara-Eliya district as well.
In his resignation letter, the minister has cited three reasons for his resignation, including the authorities’ failure to allocate enough funds for his Ministry in order to serve the area residents of his represented area and help abolishing the executive presidency.
