
The Department of Examinations said holding last minute revision classes, seminars, and lectures, related to the Ordinary Level (OL) examination is banned, effective from midnight tomorrow (3).
It is also prohibited to distribute model papers and past question papers of examinations, during this period. Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.S.J. Pushpakumara said that the Department would take stern legal action against people or institutions that are involved in violating this ban.
The prohibition will be implemented under the terms of the Examination Act No. 25 of 1968. A circular on this regard was also issued on 30 May 2013.
The Commissioner General of Examinations requests the public to inform of any such violations on 011 2784208, 011 2784537 or on emergency number 1911. The Ordinary Level Exam will be held between 9 to 18 December.
