Jathika Sangha Sammelanaya backs Maithripala

The Jathika Sangha Sammelanaya (JSS) today announced that it will assist Common Opposition Candidate Maithripala Sirisena at the forthcoming election in next year January.
The observation was made by JSS General Secretary Ven. Pahiyangala Ananda Thero at a meeting held in Colombo, today (2).
Ananda Thero said that the JSS decided to support the Common Candidate in a bid to bring back good governance, change the draconian powers of the executive presidency, and to supporting to amend the Constitution.
The Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU), a former coalition partner of the ruling UPFA government, has too decided to support Common Opposition Candidate at the Presidential Election, its General Secretary MP Patali Champika Ranawaka toldf media.
