Schools to be closed during election period

All government schools to be closed on 7 to 9 January, 2015 due to the Presidential election. The government also announced that some 43 schools within Colombo district will be closed on 11 to 15 January, 2015 following the visit of his holiness Pope Francis.
And the third term holiday season of this year will start from 5 December due to the Ordinary Level examination.
Meanwhile, the Department of Examinations said holding last minute revision classes, seminars, and lectures, related to the Ordinary Level (OL) examination is banned, effective from midnight today (3).
