
United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) member of the Medirigiriya Pradeshiya Sabha, M.P. Kumara, has joined the United National Party (UNP).
The PS member, who had attended a UNP electoral meeting in Medirigiriya this morning, had announced that he would be joining the party, Ada Derana reporter said.
Meanwhile UPFA member of the Ratgama Pradeshiya Sabha, Gnanapala de Silva, has decided to support Common Opposition Candidate Maithripala Sirisena.
The PS had arrived at the UNP Headquarters – Sirikotha and announced his decision to join the opposition. de Silva stated that he had taken the decision against the corruption of the government.
Earlier today the Opposition Leader of the Dimbulagala Pradeshiya Sabha, Ranjith Kahagalla, had crossed over to the government.
