Low pressure area moving away from the Island: Met Dept.

The Department of Meteorology says that the low pressure area is moving northwards and away from the Island and though the possibility of rain is low, strong winds can be expected during next few days as the system will develop further.
Showers will occur at several places in the Northern, North-central, North-western, Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle district.
Thundershowers will develop at several places in the Central, Uva and Eastern provinces during the afternoon or evening.
