
The Election Department has declared tomorrow (6) as an extra day for postal voting for those who were unable to cast their votes earlier, due to unavoidable circumstances. The government officers can cast votes at the District Election Offices from 8.30 a.m. to 2.45 p.m.
Postal voting for the 2015 Presidential Election was held on 23, 24 December. The Department of Elections has registered 541,131 voters for postal voting.
December 30 was also declared as an additional day for those who were unable to vote on the previous days.
The Presidential Election scheduled for January 08, 2015.
Meanwhile, the Elections Secretariat requests the general public to correct any inaccuracies, if any, on their polling cards (such as printing mistakes on the polling cards with regard to name and gender) at relevant District Election Officesby visiting these offices with identity cards.
