Private sector employers requested to grant holiday tomorrow

The Department of Labour has made a request to private sector employers for granting their employees a holiday on Wednesday (Jan 14), which has been declared as a special Public and Bank holiday in view of Pope’s visit.

 

Employees in Government Corporations, Statutory Boards and Private Sector have been granted holiday on Wednesday on behalf of the visit of His Holiness the Pope Francis to Sri Lanka.

 

 Accordingly, employers have been kindly requested to grant holiday for all the employees in Government Corporations, Statutory Boards and Private Sector on Wednesday, the 14th January 2015.
