Mother of three banished from house over election dispute in Ambalangoda

Minister Sajith Premadasa has stepped forward to make arrangements in a bid to build a new house for a mother of three who was banished from her house, as she extended support to President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential polls. According to the Ada Derana reporter, this came after the woman had ignored house owner’s preference who had offered free accommodation to the family, since a few years.
The Housing and Samurdhi Minister has directed the National Housing Development Authority to allocate a land from Thilakapura area in Ambalangoda. The raw materials for the new house will be provided by government, and house constructions would be carried out with the assistance of area residents.
