Hakeem extends invitations to UNP and TNA

Leader of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress Minister Rauff Hakeem has extended an invitation to the United National Party (UNP), Tamil National Alliance (TNA) and other political parties representing the Eastern Provincial Council to form the new administration.

 

The observation was made at press conference held at the SLMC Headquarters in Colombo, this morning.

 

Minister Hakeem also expressed his sincere thanks to President Maithripala Sirisena for fulfilling the terms of the agreement that reached with the SLMC, in which agreed to appoint the Chief Minister from his party for the Coincil’s remaining two and half years.

 

Party Secretary General, State Minister M.T. Hasan Ali,Parliamentarian Fizal Cassim, Eastern Provincial SLMC Members, and Chief Minister Hafiz Nazeer Ahamed also participated at this event.
