A 42-year-old person convicted of committing a murder in 2007 was sentenced to death by the Monaragala High Court this morning (18).
The judgment was delivered when the case was taken up for hearing before High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunga.
The person was accused of killing a woman with a sharp objective in Hulandawa, Monaragala in July, 2007.
