Special traffic plan in Colombo today and tomorrow

A special traffic plan has been implemented in Colombo today in view of the US Secretary of State John Kerry’s official visit to the Island Nation.

 


“Accordingly, the flow of traffic will be limited from the NSA roundabout to the Galle Face roundabout towards Colpetty from 12:20 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
From 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., motorists will be restricted from using the Liberty roundabout, Pithhala Junction, Red Cross junction, Library junction, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Horton roundabout, Horton place, D. S. Senanayake Junction, Baseline road, Borella Junction, Kelani Bridge towards Kelani Temple.

 


The traffic flow will be restricted from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., on Kelani Temple road, Kelani Bridge, Baseline road, Borella Junction, Kinsey Road via D. S. Senanayake Road, Horton Place, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, road opposite the Nelum Pokuna, Liberty roundabout, Gall Face roundabout.
On Saturday, May 02 from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., the traffic along the Colombo- Katunayake international Airport expressway towards Kelaniya, Baseline road, Borella junction, D S Senanayake junction, Kinsey road, Horton place, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, road opposite Nelum Pokuna, Liberty roundabout, St. Michael roundabout, Galle road and the Galle Face roundabout will be restricted.

 


On Sunday, May 03 from 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. traffic will be cordoned off on Gall Face roundabout, Galle Road, St. Michaels’s Road, St. Michaels’s Roundabout, Liberty Roundabout, Piththala Junction, Red Cross Junction, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha via Library Roundabout, Horton Roundabout, Horton Place, Baseline Road via D.S. Senanayake Junction, Borella Junction, Kelani Bridge to Colombo -Katunayake Expressway to Airport.,” the Government Information Department said in statement.
