A 54-year-old woman and her 8-month-old granddaughter were killed after an earth embankment and boulders collapsed on their house in the Bibilegama area in Passara.
Police said that the infant’s mother has also been admitted to the hospital after suffering injuries from the incident.
Police are conducting an investigation.
