Somawansa’s JSP to act independently at the election

Former Leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Somawansa Amarasinghe says that his Janatha Sevaka Party (JSP) would act independently at the forthcoming general election.
The JSP has come to this decision after several politicians, with whom Amarasinghe was about to form a new party, joined the United National Party (UNP), it was reported.
Last April, Somawansa Amarasinghe resigned from the JVP and later formed the JSP. He said that he resigned from the party to give leadership to the masses who were not satisfied with the current JVP.
