Four Indian fishermen arrested with 165 kilograms of “Kerala Ganja”

The Sri Lanka Navy on Tuesday (14) arrested four Indian fishermen with 165 kilograms of cannabis (Kerala Ganja) in the seas north-west of the Thalai-mannar.

 


The fishermen have been arrested by a naval craft of the North Central Naval Command which were on routine patrol in the wee hours of this morning.

 


“A Dhow and fishing gears which were onboard were also taken into naval custody. The arrested items along with the personnel are due to be handed over to the Department of Customs for onward action,” the Navy said in a statement.
