The United National Front for Good Governance, a coalition led by the UNP, today released its election manifesto titled “A New Country in 60 Months: Five Point Plan,” underlining the policy of the party for the next five years.
The five points of the manifesto centre around economic growth, rooting out corruption, enshrining freedom for all, investing in infrastructure and improving the education system of the country.
UNP leader and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Cabinet Spokesman Rajitha Senaratne, Patali Champika Ranawaka of the JHU along with several prominent figures attended the launching ceremony held at the Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo.
“This is not an election manifesto. It is a plan. We are seeking a mandate in order to enact this plan,” Wickremesinghe said, addressing the gathering.
