MP Chathura Senaratne issued notice

The Negombo Magistrate’s Court has issued notice on UNP Gampaha District MP Chathura Senaratne for allegedly threatening a group of individuals in custody at the Ragama Police Station. 

 

Three persons are reportedly receiving treatment at the Ragama Hospital following a clash between supporters of MPs Dr. Kavinda Jayawardena and Chathura Senaratne.

 

Police arrested 5 persons in connection with incident while on Tuesday (15) morning Senaratne has arrived at the police station and allegedly threatened the individuals under arrest. 

 

The Negombo Magistrate has issued notice on Senaratne to appear before the court on October 20, after being notified by police regarding the occurrence.
