Body of two-yr-old pushed into sea by father discovered

The body of a two-year-old boy, who drowned after being pushed into sea along with his mother allegedly by his own father, was discovered this morning when it washed ashore in the Kosgoda area.
Police said that the toddler’s body was found washed ashore at the Mahapelena Beach in Kosgoda at around 8.30am today.
A man had pushed his wife and son into the sea at Kosgoda on Thursday night and while the woman had managed to save herself by swimming back to shore her son was lost at sea.
The boy’s father was arrested by Kosgoda Police in the Kaikawala area yesterday.
The suspect having an extramarital affair is suspected to be the reason for his actions.
