The Colombo High Court today sentenced to death a Sri Lankan couple who were found guilty for the possession of distribution of heroin.
The married couple was arrested in the Thalahena area in Malabe in 2010 with around 22 grams of heroin in their possession.
Delivering the verdict in the case filed against them by the Attorney General, High Court Judge Preethi Pathman Surasena sentenced the couple to death.
