Body of missing child found in Menik Ganga

The body of an eight-year-old boy, who was reported missing on Saturday in Buttala, has been recovered from the Menik Ganga in Demodaramulla, police said.
The child had accompanied his father to the paddy field on Saturday (Oct. 17) while he had returned home alone after informing his father, who was working at the field.
Police suspect that the boy, who was mentally ill, may have fallen to the Menik Ganga due to traveling along different route than the usual path.
