Court prevents protesters from entering Parliament road

The Kaduwela Magistrate today issued an injunction to prevent protesters from holding demonstrations near the Parliament, entering Parliament road and blocking it.
The order was issued after the police requested the Magistrate that the injunction was needed since the Parliament is scheduled to meet today, Ada Derana reporter said.
Meanwhile, the Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) is also about to stage a protest march from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura to the University Grants Commission (UGC), it was reported.
A directive has also been issued by the Nugegoda Magistrate to hold the demonstration without obstructing the main road, the reporter added.
