A suspect has been arrested for the possession of two firearms in the Ruwanwella area in Yatiyantota.
The 37-year-old man from Pallegama was arrested with two locally-manufactured (Galkatas) weapons and several other weapon parts following a raid carried out by Yatiyantota Police.
The arrested suspects are to be produced before the Ruwanwella Magistrate’s Court today while police are conducting further investigations.
