A 58-year-old individual has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport after he allegedly attempted to leave the country with foreign currency worth over Rs. 10.1 million.

 


The suspect, who is a resident of Naththandiya, was arrested by the officials attached to the Sri Lanka Customs, this morning (22).

 


“There were USD 1,500, AU$11,000, S$ 15,000, and Euro 28,500 in his possession,” the Customs Media Spokesperson said.
