Lotus Road in Colombo Fort reportedly blocked due to a protest march heading towards Temple Trees.
The protest has been organised by the Frontline Socialist Party (FSP), demanding the release of party member Premakumar Gunaratnam who was arrested and remanded over visa violations.
The protesters also demand that he be allowed to engage in politics in the country.
