Traffic jam at Tunmulla Junction

Heavy traffic congestion has been reported at Tunmulla Junction in Bambalapitiya due to slight flooding caused by prevailing adverse weather conditions.
The Department of Meteorology says that under the influence of the disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, showers or thundershowers will occur at times over Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Uva provinces.
Thundershowers will develop elsewhere after 02.00p.m. while very heavy rain falls (about 150mm) are also expected at some places.
