A 40-year-old individual has committed suicide by hanging in Welikanda, the Police Media Unit says.
According to the police, the person had committed suicide by hanging from a tree located near his house in Sevanapitiya area in Welikanda.
The deceased’s body has sent to the hospital for a post-mortem. The Welikanda Police are conducting further inquiries into the incident.
