
The suspect, who was arrested after his DNA match the samples found from six women murdered in Kotakethana area in Kahawatta, has been further remanded by the Pelmadulla Magistrate’s Court today.
The suspect was remanded until 12 January, Ada Dreana reporter said.
The suspect was earlier referred to the Genetech Molecular Diagnostics Research Institute (GMDRI) for a DNA test after he was arrested in connection with the murder of a woman in Kotakethana last month.
“This suspect’s DNA match six of seven samples found from murdered women in Kotakethana,” a police officer said.
