The police would have to get the assistant of foreign experts to retrieve the footage captured on CCTV camera system on the death of former Sri Lankan rugby player Wasim Thajudeen, the Department of Computer Science of the University of Colombo apprised the Court today.
The observation was made by an official attached to the Department, when the case was taken up for hearing before the Colombo Magistrate today.
The official told the Magistrate it was difficult to identify the persons in the video due to low quality of the footage, Ada Derana reporter said.
The official has also said the detectives would decide on sending the footage either to the FBI or the Scotland Yard to retrieve certain visuals.
Thajudeen was found dead on May 17, 2012 inside his car which had apparently crashed into a wall in Kirulapone.
