Iran’s new ambassador to Sri Lanka submits credentials

Iran’s new envoy to Sri Lanka Mohammad Za’eri has officially presented his credentials to President Maithripala Sirisena, the MEHR news agency reported.
At the meeting which was also attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mangala Samaraweera, Iran’s new ambassador Za’eri also conveyed the warm greetings.
Za’eri expressed satisfaction towards his appointment as envoy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sri Lanka adding “I will put all necessary efforts to expand the ties between the two countries.”
Also at the meeting President Maithripala Sirisena called for development of bilateral ties between the two sides.
