Police fire water cannons at FSP protesters

Police used water cannons to disperse the protest march by the Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) as it reached Lotus Roundabout in Colombo.
The protest was staged demanding that FSP politburo member Kumar Gunaratnam, who is currently in remand custody for visa violations, be provided his political rights and to ensure democracy in the country.
The protesters had dispersed following the water cannon attack, Ada Derana reporter said.
