Delivering a strongly worded speech in Parliament today, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the conduct of electronic and print media when reporting certain incidents was highly disappointing.
He was speaking with regard to the manner in which media had reported the recent Embilipitiya and Homagama incidents.
He accused certain media organizations of arousing ‘racism’ and ‘hunting’. “Don’t go hunting. That is not rights,” he said.
During his speech, Mr Wickremesinghe also spoke about Chathura Alwis and Madhawa Madawala of TV Derana.
