Nine ‘treasure hunters’ nabbed in Polgahawela

Nine persons, who had allegedly engaged in an illegal excavation in Polgahawela, have been arrested by police, Ada Derana reporter said.

 


The police team arrested the suspects in Panagangamada area in Polgahawela, early hours of this morning. Several equipment used for the illegal excavation have also been seized from the possession of the alleged treasure hunters.

 


Police said that the suspects will be produced before the Magistrate today (1).
