A new political party will definitely be formed, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says.
The observation was made during an event held at the Abeyarama Temple in Narahenpita.
Rajapaksa pointed out that a new political party will be formed if that is the wish of the general public. Rajapaksa is a senior member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) headed by President Maithripala Sirisena.
