Abayarama temple petition: respondents get time

The Colombo District Court today gave time until February 29 for respondents to file objections with respect to a petition filed against the move to use Sri Abayarama temple premises in Narahenpita for political and trade activities.

 


The petition has been filed by the Chief Incumbent of the Sri Poorvarama Viharaya in Kirulapone Ven. Pathberiye Wimalagnana Thera.

 


The petition has requested the immediate halt of all political and trade activities that are been conducted at the temple premises, Ada Derana reporter said.

 


The case will be taken up for hearing again on 29 February.
