The time has come to take essential steps to develop our country and create more job opportunities for the youth, says President Maithripala Sirisena. President Sirisena made the observation while speaking to the media personnel in Germany last evening.
The President also went on to say in his visit to Germany, the foundation for further strengthening economic and cultural relations will be the main focus.
“The scheduled Thursday’s business forum with leading Sri Lankan and Germen businessmen will give an added boost to reach the expectations in the economic sphere,” he added.
The President also clarified the need in boosting the country’s economic and trade sectors with the backing of foreign investors to create more opportunities. He said “this was one of the main reasons why our people gave a mandate to me at the last Presidential election,”
“Today Sri Lanka has only friends in the world. We have also demonstrated our genuine intention for reconciliation and accountability efforts,” the President added.
