16 hour water cut in several areas

The national Water Supply and Drainage Board announced that a 16 hour water cut will affect several areas including Kottawa, Homagama, Maharagama, Padukka and parts of Colombo from 1.00pm today to 5.00am tomorrow (21).
It said that the water supply to Hanwella, Kaluaggala, Meepe, Padukka, Godagama, Homagama, Kottawa, Pannipitiya, Rukmalgama, Pelanwatta and Mattegoda areas will be suspended due to urgent repairs at the Kalatuwawa water treatment plant.
Meanwhile areas such as Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Colombo 8, Colombo 9 and Colombo 10 will receive low pressure water supply during the aforementioned time period, the water board said.
